Intro

How did my experience started?

You guys know that I love to travel. I like to visit the places that I find interesting, amazing or that I just like!. Unfortunately, I have my share of expenses, my responsibilities plus I am a full time student. What can you do living on a student budget? Hey, traveling to those places that cached your attention is still a done deal even with a part-time job, a student budget or you are just VERY cheap (I meet all 3 categories).

I usually travel with my Mom, since my Dad passed away, I decided to take my Mom out to all the places that we always want(ed) to visit. Since my Dad was an older person, we didn't get to enjoy far away vacations like other families did.

We been traveling every year for the past 6 years, but since the economy is not so good, our budget is not that high either. Therefore, I started to become an expert in cheap traveling!.

Traveling cheap gets has its ups and downs. The down side is that you get to miss on a lot of experiences such as high end restaurants, 5 star hotels and the luxury of having a guide. The ups? well, there are more good things than bad, you get to stay where the locals live, not where the tourist stay, so you get to know how the locals live. You get to ride what the locals ride, such as buses and subways. When it comes to restaurant, you get to eat in cheaper restaurants, usually where the locals eat.

My type of traveling is not the kind of staying in hostels, since I travel with my Mom and currently also travel with a toddler, other types of places to stay must be used. Especially since most hostels do NOT let kids stay.
